Vision and Mission Statement
Shepherd the flock of God which is among you.
1 Peter 5:2 New King James Version
Burden: [why we exist]
Overcome darkness with light and ignorance with truth.
The D. James Kennedy Institute of Reformed Leadership (“The Kennedy Institute”) exists because the Mission of God, and, thus, the mission of the Church, viz., the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and paradise regained, is advanced in a fallen world. Christian Discipleship is threatened by darkness. We must overcome darkness with light, and ignorance with truth.
Values: [non-negotiable essentials that guide us]
The divine power of God is greater than the diabolical plans of the Devil.
The Kennedy Institute is grounded in
• The person and work of the only Savior of mankind, our Lord Jesus Christ;
• As He is presented in the inerrant and infallible Holy Scriptures;
• The summary of which is found in the Westminster Standards;
• Research and resources that reflect these confessional commitments; and
• The divine power of the Gospel is greater than the diabolical plans of the Devil.
Vision: [how we lift the burden]
Teach truths that transform and shepherd the shepherds to shepherd the flock.
The Kennedy Institute supports spiritually vibrant discipleship and faithful Gospel ministry by teaching truths that transform and shepherding shepherds to shepherd the flock.
Mission: [how we move towards the vision]
We realize the vision by Research, Writing, and Resources.
