Most new pastors enter the strenuous work of local church ministry with lots of theology and little practice. The result is predictably unnecessary pain and disruption to the pastor, his family, and the local church. We shepherd shepherds so they can shepherd the flock. We do that through a post-seminary residency: combining technology, supervised practice, and reflection with a senior fellow, laymen, peers, and the pastoral family. We teach them 12 pastoral competencies that are vital for practical ministry.
If you are looking for a ministry to support, we believe that Faith for Living, Inc., host of the D. James Kennedy Institute, provides such a partnering opportunity. We are presently seeking to fund a $150,000 budget. We believe that the ministry will be self-sufficient in five years. Your gift today will help us to lay the foundations for a future of ministry. Together, we can reach deep into the 21st century and until Christ comes again by the D. James Kennedy residency fellowship. Please pray about giving generously today. Thee D. James Kennedy Institute of Reformed Leadership is a ministry of Faith for Living, Inc., a North Carolina 501c3 ministry that exists to reach as many as possible by all means available.
