“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it” (Proverbs 3:27 ESV).
I am delighted to share this wonderful video by Erskine Theological Seminary giving “CREDIT” where “CREDIT” is due (you will understand after you see it)!
Honestly, in nearly three decades of association with theological higher education, I believe that Erskine Seminary remains unsurpassed in the pastoral ethos and student-care that is afforded future pastors, missionaries, and church servants. With love for the other institutions I have served, I want to state for the record just how very thankful and blessed I am to be associated, even in some small way, with the contributions of this extraordinary institution, her learned students, dedicated staff, hard-working administration, loving and united faculty, and her glorious charter. I have always felt that the Seminary is to be teaching and embodying “Biblical theology in the service of the Church” and to “shepherd the shepherds who will shepherd the Sheep.”
Erskine Seminary is doing that and doing that well. She has fought the good fight. She has done what few seminaries have done: gone to the edge and lived to tell about it. But the ship is steady. She has made it through the treacherous shoals. And she is in the open sea, the wind of the Spirit filling her sails. She is deserving of the full support and the fervent prayers of the People of God.
