Pastoral prayer for the Third Sunday in Epiphany:
“Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8).
Let us turn to the Lord as a People and pray for those burdens and giving thanks for those blessings to the Father who Heard and answers prayer:
The prayers of the People follow.
Our dear Father, who sent your only begotten Son, our God and Savior Jesus Christ, who modeled prayer for us in his high priestly prayer as well as by his spirit moving through the Psalmist who wrote, Trust in God at all times, grant that we, your people, may be found faithful to seek Thee with all of our daily burdens, also returning thanks for each of our daily blessings, so that our lives radiate with faith that is fueled by worship without ceasing, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
