O ALMIGHTY God, Who alone canst order the rebellious wills, quiet the shameless voices, and subdue the unnatural affections of sinful men; Grant unto Thy Church, that we may love those things which Thou commandest, And desire those things which Thou dost promise; That so, among the sundry and manifold changes of the world—changes in what is true and what is false, changes in what is good and what is evil, changes in attitudes toward the Church, and changes that brings blessing and that brings judgement—Our hearts may surely there be fixed, Where true joys are to be found; Through Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with Thee, O Father, and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forevermore. Amen.
