Just as Western Civilization is teetering on the brink…The Army Reserve Chaplains are coming.
I am not sure if that sounds reassuring to you or not! But let me tell you why I am actually very hopeful and optimistic.
Yes, the challenges we face are many and are diverse. Yet the new generation of clergy-patriots in uniform, the chaplains of the US Army Reserve, bring hope because of their dedication, their character, their faith, their vision, and their pastoral integrity. It has been my joy and privilege to be the intructor to the Chaplain Captain’s Career Course at the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School in this past week (one of two). I am strengthened in my own faith as I get to know these incredible chaplains. What a blessing they are.
I believe that as they begin to apply the nobility of spirit that I have witnessed here to the Army of soldiers and families out there they will make a positive difference for God and for the sacred and ancient values that hold our nation together.
Our nation, Army and Corps should be very proud, indeed, of these citizen-soldier-preachers.
I know that I am.
