Please pray for the production of this new single to be released. The goal is to bring awareness to the sanctity of life, to support the beauty of adoption, and to give the song away to Christian adoption agencies to help encourage their ministries. I composed this song after being so moved by preaching from Romans 8 on the Doctrine of Adoption. It is a companion to the book, What is the Doctrine of Adoption? (P&R Publishing).
We are aiming for an Easter release, though the song will debut in Los Angeles at a performance at Valley Christian School on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 with guest Cindy Gibbs. The song will also be sung with Cindy at the Reagan Center and Ranch, Friday, March 15, 2013, 4 PM. The song will be available on iTunes after that.

A Promise is Stronger than Blood
© 2013 Words and Music by Michael Milton, (Bethesda Words and Music Publishing), BMI
You may feel like you’re all alone
A cosmic orphan with no name, no home
You may feel untethered
Weak and worn and weathered
But I’ve got news for you
And it’s the Gospel truth
A Promise is stronger than blood
When the Promise is given by the Father above
A Promise is stronger than blood
And the Covenant of Grace
Is a beautiful place to call home
You may feel like an abandoned child
No mother or father, maybe running wild
You may be hiding from the pain
Inconsolably crying in the rain
But I have news for you
And it’s the Gospel truth
A Promise is stronger than blood
When the Promise is given by the Father above
A Promise is stronger than blood
And the Covenant of Grace
Is a mighty good place to call home
(instrumental)
A Promise is stronger than blood
When the Promise is given by Abba above
Through the blood of His Son
His grace has won
Many sons and daughters
And you’re one
