Released October 23, 2012
We dedicate this album to the glory of God and to the glorious Christ whose Incarnation has brought us a Savior who lived the life we could never live and died the death that should have been ours. May many hear and believe. May others hear and come to rededicate their lives to the Christ who lives. We also ask that this album would bring forth those fruits that would support the scholarships for needy pastors and missionaries to be prepared to fulfill their high calling in Christ.

(CHARLOTTE, NC) – October 23, 2012 – When Heaven Came Down, Michael Milton‘s first ever Christmas album has been released on October 23. The 15-song collection of original compositions evokes a peaceful atmosphere in which to celebrate and contemplate the Advent and Christmas seasons.
“When Heaven Came Down” came as an encouragement from a colleague at RTS to write a song about the Incarnation,” says Milton. “That one song led to a wonderful time of reflecting and composing 14 other new songs for Advent and Christmas. The album reflects the moods of Christmas, seeks to convey the glorious truths of Christmas, and, finally, prays for a sense of awe and wonder of Almighty God coming down from heaven to His own creation, in the throne room of a cattle shed. From simple ballads to orchestral movements to English madrigals, the album seeks to draw the listener in to the holy splendor of the season that hits our hearts more than any other.”
Award winning singer/songwriter Buddy Green (“Mary, Did You Know?“) joins Milton on harmonica for “Carolina Christmas.” Milton is also joined by vocalist Cindy Gibbs on the touching ballad “Jesus Came” as well as many others. Milton reflects on his new life with wife Mae as empty-nesters now in “Christmastime Again.” A relaxing peaceful orchestral overture titled La Nativite Ouverture is also part of this beautiful mix of tunes on the album.
Milton uses the acoustic guitar, accordion and piano to blend this album together for a perfect gift for yourself or a friend. More importantly, for a student, as 100% of the CD sales go to support scholarships at Reformed Theological Seminary.
When Heaven Came Down is released through RTS, Fortress Books, Music for Missions, and Music and EP Books in the United Kingdom and distributed through RTS. Retailers should contact Rev. Greg Thompson at [email protected].
The project will be available online through iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody, and other online distributors.
