My son, John Michael, is on his first Boy Scout camping trip, which, we are praying, will lead to his Tenderfoot badge in scouts. The thing is: it stormed last night and rained even more this morning. The sun is out now (they camped just north of Chattanooga), but it is sure wet. I am wondering how he did. My son loves the scouts and we do too. I serve on the board of the scouts and believe in the organization. They are doing a great job locally and nationally, to the chagrin of many liberal groups. Despite the storms of attack by the ungodly, the Scouts carry on. That makes me one proud American. And if John Michael makes it through this storm and gets his badge, I will also be one proud papa.
